Volunteer Opportunities
at the Stark County Dog Warden Division

New volunteers are required to be 18 years of age, attend a volunteer orientation (these are typically held once a month on Saturdays or you can contact Carrie at [email protected] for an individual appointment) and sign a waiver. Once all of these are in, we will pair you with a more experienced volunteer to help you.

Volunteers

The Friends of Stark Pound Volunteer/Dog Walking Team is an all-volunteer force that the dogs count on for 100% of their exercise, socialization and playtime outside. When we walk, play and groom the dogs, we are letting them know that they have not been forgotten. Please consider joining the team.

All Friends of Stark Pound volunteers will participate in an orientation program before beginning their volunteer work at the Pound. Orientations are held at the facility, days may vary, and private orientations can be scheduled also.

Please sign up for your Orientation by sending an email to: [email protected].

Other ways you can help!

Friends of Stark Pound also have the following volunteer opportunities available:
• Fundraising
• Community Outreach
• Volunteer services at the Pound
• Transporting dogs to the vet or to another rescue organization
• Fostering adopted dogs awaiting transport by rescues.

If you would like to volunteer as a Friend of Stark Pound please email Carrie at: [email protected].
